Hi all,
I'm new here as well; I'm Associate Professor of Digital Media at UNC Charlotte and primarily teach animation and related topics. I have some experience with Unity, mostly to create interactive books for iOS and Android mobile devices: http://denisovan.blogspot.com and http://flederhund.blogspot.com. In both cases, I made the art, wrote and scripted the works (the Flederhund images and text were created collaboratively with Jeff Murphy.) I also used to teach Flash and Actionscript 3.0 (very basic scripting skills there.... I am NOT a strong programmer).
I'm interested in collaborating with designers, programmers, writers, etc. on games that will hopefully enact some positive social and/or ecological change. I'm also interested in games as art and experimental narratives (Kentucky Route 0 comes to mind) although I'm still not sure to what extent the two can overlap (although Papo y Yo comes to mind as well).
Although I am working an an animation textbook (final draft due end of November), I am very interested in beginning conversations with others on project ideas, and would love to start active production on a project in 2015.
Last, if you're a student/new developer and are in desperate need of artists, please let me know and I can share your info/request with my digital media, illustration at graphic design students at UNCC.
Cheers,
Heather
