Scripting an Educ. Sim versus letting teachers script it + potential collaboration?

Does anyone out there have any research or first-hand experience regarding classroom games and the decision to either script a story versus allowing the teachers to share their own.

Can anyone share research?

Have a first-hand account or could share an example?

And, if anyone out there has UI experience and would like to collaborate on an award winning classroom simulation -  - let know.

Thanks, Derek
