My group, QLG Virtual Team Multi-Discipline just submitted a SBIR Phase I Proposal, our first one, to a National Science Foundation (NSF) RFP for educational video games as one of the qualifed topics I identified. We then put together a virtual team with 3 university faculty members, with science expertise relvant to the theme of the travelogue game and submitted successfully on December 3, 2013 deadline.
We think we have a good chance of winning this $150 K grant to be shared as specified by the budget and plan required by this RFP.
Now I have identified a second such educational video game RFP with a different federal agency, with similar amount of the grant and a proposal I am developing now for an alternate reality game.
Some background information on our virtual team protocol can be found in my new Pinterest.com Board called

We are seeking 2 Indie Game Developers with solid experience in game design to participate in our virtual team. If located in Fairfax VA Metro DC Hub, that's a plus as a few "eyeball to eyeball" meetings once a month for six month project duration is adviced but not absolutionly required.
