Many believe Hurricane Sandy to be the first of many SuperStorms to come from Global Storming. Netizens have stepped up through Occupy Sandy to perform Do-It-Ourselves Disaster Relief and put together a shoestring social network to handle the job. I feel thankful to connect to so many wonderful gamers to collaboratively develop a social-gaming app to assist in training, coordinating, tracking, and rewarding volunteers in service. I imagine iterations of this project to start with Relief & Recovery, to move into ReDesign, then into Rebuild, and then to Reflect to improve for future disaster scenarios.
