Looking for wisdom and suggestions.  I am forming a gaming elective for 7th and 8th grade public education students for next year.   Plan on using the California Model School Library Standards as a means to implement and connect to Common Core State Standards.

One program that i have found useful is agent sheets. It;s a great introduction to programming and game design. It's also user friendly and engaging. One thing that I particularly like about this program is the ability to do simulations. This makes it easy to tie into Common Core.
