Anything else you want to say about the kinds of projects or people or organizations you’d like to work with?
I am very excited about active/exercise games and how we can make them better. So excited that I devoted four years to it for my PhD research!
I am also interested in education games. I'm currently developing a design document for a computer science puzzle game and would welcome feedback from programmers and non-programmers!
Developing games is important to me as a form of creative expression. I've been working on several games that have helped me cope with difficult periods of my life, and I'm finally in a place to begin implementing them in earnest. I'm very interested in others that express their feelings through game design.
Games you’ve worked on ...
I've made a number of 3DUI game prototypes for my graduate school research, more info can be found on my website http://www.evaliation.net
What abilities would you bring to a collaboration?
Lots of experience designing interface controls for active games (Wiimote and Kinect). My PhD research is on dance game interfaces, so I know a lot of obscure facts about rhythm and dance games and have made some prototypes myself. Graduate school has trained me in user research and I've designed and run several complicated user studies.
I have interned at Microsoft both as a Program Manager and a Game Designer. I love giving presentations and creating things and I've been praised for my problem solving and team management skills.
I do have a programming background and a bit of an art background, but I prefer design and writing.
