I'm interested in creating a game that would spark a social movement around the country in the world. The only problem is I have no Game creating experience. I'm looking for people to help implement my idea and we went to inspire people to develop a community of people that inspires hope, belief and takes action to achieve what they are inspired to do in life. Let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
Chris

As has been stated by most game development companies
When being presented IDEAS, responses fall into 1 of 3 areas...
1. Learn to make games (programming and art) and recruit a like minded team to help you make the game as a hobby project.
2. Get the necessary qualifications and then get a job in the industry. Work your way up doing other people’s projects until you get to the stage where you can propose your own game idea (this will likely take several years).
3. Secure investment funding or win the lottery and then hire an established development team to make your game for you.
If your game is as good as you think you will do whatever is necessary to get it made, but if you wont invest in your game then no one else is likely to.
Hello Christian and Scott,
Thanks for your comments. I've got to say, I appreciate your questions. What I bring to the table is an idea that I want to put forward to start a movement and was inspired by Jane's speech on TED about the gamification. I think it's a great way to draw people in and get people involved to work together to change the world. The only problem is my game experience is with Atari and playing and now coaching sports. I admit I am a total novice. But what I also bring his passion, organization, leadership, the ability to listen, collaborate and inspire people to work together.
Maybe what would be helpful is getting some guidance of what is needed and what are the steps to gamify an idea and taking an idea from start to fruition.
what would you like to see in a pitch and a game design document? I will put it together and put it out there.
I appreciate your input and look forward to hearing from you both.
Hi Chris,
thanks for your post. I published some thoughts before that aimed at the same direction. However I guess Scott Jacobson is right. We have to be aware which skills do we have and what do we need to establish our ideas.
I am looking forward to connect with you and share some thoughts. Maybe we are in the same boat.
What do you think about this?
What skills DO you bring to the table? Any completed or in progress projects you could link us to?
Do you have a link to your idea's pitch or game design document?
