I just kind of joined this page on a whim well researching for a speech im doing for class on how video games positively affect the real world but this isn't something im doing just for a grade...video games have really inspired me my whole life and i always wanted to be part of that process, but i never had the patients to learn programing. What i have always wanted to do though is be behind those first few steps of creating a video game. I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater as a BFA (Bachelor of Fine arts). I want to use my abilities to either conceptualize components for games such as characters looks environment creation or even overall story, or i would like to bring the concepts of video games already made into the fine arts world for being an avid gamer since i was a kid i have a passion for gaming you dont see in a lot of art students. its true that other fine art students do play video games but because of the amount of time they spend on working on their art and most of their free time at parties they havent grasped the meat in games, that thing that makes us want to keep going in virtual worlds. I want the fine art world to know that video games are not just an art, they are a fine art. So that is my goal right now, I'm not sure how much im gona use this site but it feels good to write this down right now and share it with...whoever happens upon it.
