So i'm trying to integrate game concepts into my 8th grade Geography classroom.  Here's what I'm trying to do:

Give students "attribute points" for performing tasks inside/outside classroom.  Things like "+1 Intelligence" when a student correctly answers a tough question in class.

Ideally there would be several different attribute fields that I would give points to students for, like Intelligence, Charisma, Resourcefulness, etc.  I'm not attached to any specific ones just yet.

What I'm looking for is a way to:

1. Efficiently give students points
2. Total and track points for each category, so the different points will automatically add up
3. Students can check their individual points in each category that they have earned so far.

I talked to some IT friends and they mentioned Microsoft Access as a rough first attempt.

Is this program already out there?  Would anyone be willing to point me towards a solution?
