Hey guys,
Saw this group and thought I'd share what the libraries near me do in relation to gaming. Well, where to begin, my local library is very much into keep kids out of trouble and nestling them into books or games, and so every week they have a gaming tournament, usually runescape or something similar, in which we have to go on a scavenger hunt to find certain objects or be the first to finish a certain quest, we also have a video games area, with gaming mags, books with cheats and tips and our very own gaming hub (Currently we only have a wii set up), most of my friends and I hang out there after school. That's just in the video game sector; outdoors we have a really cool play area, it's suited more for younger kids, but we have a massive chess board(life sized) which has always been really popular with kids of all ages, especially if your a Harry Potter buff and like to recreate scenes from the books! (I'm not the only one who doesn't that right?)
But anyways, I think my library has started what will hopefully be continued throughout the area and made into more of a community thing.
Share your experience here as well, just because you can :D!!
