I am looking for a game developer who wants to join on an adventure to create an ARD that engages youth in out of school time activities.  I am a youth development specialist with a background in education, youth empowerment, building inter-organizational relationships, and systems change.  I have developed a concept and business model, but have taken the game design as far as my abilities can take it. I can lead the ground work, but I need a partner with the programming skills to help build a game that can have significant real world impact.  I'd love to find someone in the greater DC area.  Let me know if you are interested, or if you know of friends, colleagues, or meetup groups that I should engage.  Thanks!

Benjanmin, great challenge -- to develop a game around preventing and educating about FGM. Of course, it's a serious challenge because ... I mean really, how the hell do you make that fun?

Who's your audience?

While this would be a risky approach - what about developing a game that's actually about teaching sex-positive knowledge and skills, but then incorporates the problems and dangers of FGM along the way. Might be easier to get folk to start playing that.

Or maybe there's something around a simple competition game that wages the forces for sex-positive health vs. FGM practices - so the game mechanism itself is some standard casual game interaction, but the appeal comes with the almost campy sex-positive heros....?

Hey, folks. I'm a developer working at a nonprofit, and we're trying to gamify content on fiscal responsibility for 8-12 graders. We have complete control over the entire thing, and are developing our software framework from scratch, so there's nothing that can't be done. None of us are experienced game designers, though, and if anyone knows what 8-12 graders might find fun and interesting in regards to finances, we'll be happy to take suggestions (and help you out where we can!).

The courses are 100% free, and the framework we're developing is free and open source as well; the only thing that we're keeping as "ours" is the content itself.

We are looking for some game designer or someone to build a game to change behaviours about FGM (female genital mutilation).
That could have very positive impact in migrants from africa to Europe and US and another countries as well.

They keep their harmful traditions in the present day, lots of woman die or have disability the rest of their life.

This is a big challenge with a very deep impact in the worldwide.

If somebody want to help us, We will find lots of organizations that can support us.

The question is ¿Would you like get a better world?

My name is Benjamín Pérez Souto

Game on!!! and We will start toghether.
