- I’ll work with anyone who is creative and has an open mind. However, I’m most interested in working with people who would like to create games that could be used to teach skills public school students need to acquire in order to pass the High School Assessment (HSA), a test required before a student may graduate.
- Games you’ve worked on ...
- Nothing you’ve heard of. I’ve worked on a few computer games to show my friends; we get a few laughs out of them, and then it’s on to something else.
Unless you count the playground games I would think up as a child. Those were awesome.
- What abilities would you bring to a collaboration?
- I am not a coder, programmer, artist, musician, or anything else you’re looking for. I have none of those supremely useful abilities.
Full disclosure: I’m on this site to learn things. While I would love to contribute more, I probably can’t.
Now, for what I’m good at:
1. I’m an idea guy. And yes, I know you are, too. You don’t have to worry. I’m not one of those people who came here because I have “the best idea ever” and I need to find people to make my game for me. Relax. But if you have an idea you’re passionate about, I can probably suggest ways to make it better.
2. I am an English teacher at the high school level. I also work with children who have special needs. Furthermore, I coach those children in tennis and bocce ball. All of this must count for something.
3. I am an organizer of information. I am able to see complex relationships between things that others tend to miss. This makes me valuable if you want ideas on how to strengthen the theme of your game or if you want to make sure your game is achieving a certain goal.
