Hello Gameful world, I'm new here and just testing the waters with this post. Basically I'm not really sure what I want to do, but I would love to get into design. Pretty much looking for recommendations as to where to start. In High school I took a game development class and worked with game maker and GMI. After that I went to some community collage in the IT field, but that didn't really work out because of a personal epidemic. Recently I've been working on web design and Gamification, still really new to the concepts though.
I've been really interested in using Gamification for education, mostly because of how much I struggle with how boring the current standard of education practice.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
Thaddeus Stanislaus Skorzewski III

Renpy is a great choice for what you are doing. In the past I have hosted Cosplay parties and had people pose in front of a green screen and each do a variety of poses, magic wand out the background and run the result through a comic filter. Fast and easy way to generate all the character art you need for the Visual Novel!
I'll probably use a java system or something like that for the final project I still have soo much to learn though
Well I've been thinking and I think I wanna do a game in a sorta fantasy world based on the real world I guess make a map and pretty much have the school be ran by a class president and the point would be to compete against other schools by organizing events and keeping your school stats like happiness efficiency and funds well. My biggest problem is probably art though I have no talent for drawing or image manipulation. I'm learning photo shop though and got a friends help to do character out lines for me I think I might just start by making a school based visual novel first using this story and novelty or Renpy. Once I do that I want to make it with a map and all that like a tactic game or romance of the three kingdoms mixed with visual novel scenes in a school setting.
If you can describe your game idea in detail then I can recommend some tools to get you there the easiest :)
oh is it GML that would make more sense. I took the https://www.udemy.com/designing-gamification-level-1-certification#/ I really liked it watching all his gsummet talks and finding about Eye Wire on Gabe's Gamification.co site has really changed my view or well made my view's on the current standings of different issues facing humanity and also where we really are technically. Which I feel is one of the hardiest things to grasp as someone living in this time. I don't really know maybe some game to put on a portfolio/resume type thing. Or just to show people what games you've made so far? I guess where I would start would be finding game design software ?
OH!!!! GM"L" :) Which Udemy gamification class did you take? Would you recommend it? What kind of game would you like to make?
GMI is the scripting language of Game Maker. Gamifications awesome I just found out about it a couple weeks ago and took the level 1 class on Udamy. I've pretty much made no game's outside of a game making class in high school and am a complete noob. Not really sure where to start, or which anything to learn. I mean I guess it would be cool if we had international schools with gamified systems that have like a web based competition with a random school learning the same thing the last week of every month (This is just free thinking and meaning less though). Ya so that's not very clear I guess the best point to make would be asking questions like well I don't really know any recommendable online class's? maybe for game design, or what's the most popular way to develop games ?
GMI? Personal epidemic? What are your ideas in gamification? What games have you made so far?
