I just wanted to drop you all a quick line to introduce myself. My name is Steve Ruduski and I blog at www.thecompanybard.com.
I have enjoyed success in a number of fields from entrepreneurial ventures as well as executive work in software startups. I have also had the pleasure of working in the gaming industry for a time. All in all it has been an awesome ride.
I ascribe my success directly to games and gaming. It was all the long hours put in around the RPG table, feeding myself on funyuns and mountain dew, that taught me the skills I needed to be successful in the board room.
I am currently working on a project to pull life/career success lessons from the games we already play. I have worked with a number of gamers who were amazing in virtual reality, but did not feel that way about their real lives. My goal is to share how they can use the skills they ALREADY know help them achieve their goals at work.
Anyway, that's what I'm about! Feel free to send me a message about what you are interested in. I am happy and eager to help.
Here is a question for the whole group; what is the best way to interact with this community?
I have logged in a number of times and I don't see a lot of people actively online. I also don't see frequent blog posts. I want to make sure that I make the best of this experience, and do my part to contribute to the projects you are working on.
Thanks for all the help! HAPPY GAMING
